I recently acquired an Osborne 940 and a Hogue mini ritter g2 and I like them both for different reason but I really do not have a need to keep both. The ergonomics of the ritter are better in my opinion but at the same time I like the reverse tanto for the tougher tip and the Osborne blade seems that it can take more abuse. At the same time the 940 feels a little long. Does anyone have any experience with both of theses and how durable both knives are? Note, I am really not they guy who uses a knife in a way that you should not but I do a bit of light construction projects on the side so it will be put through its paces.

Have owned and used both for years, and both are plenty tough for regular edc tasks..

Both are good designs but if I were only able to keep one I'd take the Ritter. Although the mini is too small for my hands, I have 2 full size RSK's and they are excellent all-around knives..

I'd go with the Ritter. I personally feel the 940 is a bit overrated. That's not a popular opinion, but that's just me. Hogue makes and awesome product. The Ritter is fantastic.

Thanks for the input. What started all of this is that I lost a mini grip that i had for about 2 years and I replaced it with the 945. The 945 is a great and capable knife But I have had a few times that I wanted a better feeling grip for the harder cutting task

Having owned and used both for years, I agree.

And it's personal preference. I would lean toward the 940, only because I like it better--longer blade, thinner in the pocket.

Keep the 940. Get rid of the mini and get the full size Ritter.

Well.....It was tough but I had to choose the Ritter mini. The action is smoother and the ergonomics were better imho.

Thanks everyone for the advice
