Need input on Pena X-Series FF Trapper

I recently bought a Pena Trapper in Jigged titanium from a well established Ebay seller. I typically buy here on BF but these are hard to find anywhere. My concern is that I can't see the words m390 on the clip side of the blade like every other pic and video I've seen (see photos below with comparison marked in red oval). Just curious if anyone else has one that is missing the steel mark? The only clones I've seen are Micarta (not jigged ti) so I'm fairly certain this is legit but it's still nagging in the back of my mind. I also couldn't seem to find any information on service for Pena knives which seems unfortunate but maybe you just have to contact them directly via phone. Just seems odd.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong location but I looked for any forum where Pena knives fit and didn't see anything.
Thanks!

This picture from Peña’s web store (check the URL) doesn’t have the steel marking, so I think you might be alright. Same with other variants. Probably different batches.

I have a Pena X-Series Trapper in Jigged Titanium. On mine, one side of the blade says “Pena X Series” and the other side of the blade says “M390”. I purchased mine on November 20, 2019 from a Pena dealer: SMKW.

Definitely contact Pena Knives. It’s possible the pictures they have on their website are prototypes. All the pictures at dealers have M390 on the blade.

I think these are made for Pena by Reate and they’ve had some trouble with clones in the past. Best bet is to contact Pena’s shop. It’s hard to keep track of the original maker with so many good import brands doing OEM work.

Yeah, this is what I’m seeing most everywhere. The one I purchased looks the same on the show side with the Pena logo, and everything else looks right but it’s just missing the M390 mark. I’ve checked everything I can see and the details look right. Little things like the Jigged pattern, small angle cut on lock bar where the insert fits, shape of the sharpening choil, etc., all seem to look right. I’m going to take the advice of others here as well and reach out to the number on Pena’s site. I just didn’t see much there other than customs and nothing said “service” so I wasn’t sure if I should reach out to them or maybe Reate... ugh.. sometimes I hate myself for spontaneous decisions LOL.

Well, I got the Pena Trapper in the mail today and it's the real deal. I've looked at all the details up close and Shabazz's disassembly video and everything looks right on. Those unique torx screws are a pretty good indicator too. Really like the knife but I found that the integral lock cut out being under the clip can snag on my jeans pocket and makes it a bit tough to get it all the way in the pocket. Still, it sure looks nice in my collection!

Just checked mine, got it from Pena website, no steel marking.
Side note, my mini Zulu x-series doesn’t have it either, from knifecenter.

Awesome!! I was pretty confident but that was the real confirmation I was looking for... I really appreciate you taking the time to check and respond! I Thank you.

FYI, I did submit the question through their website contact form about 3 days ago but didn’t hear back yet. I’m not worried anymore but I will post an update with what they say if I get a response just in case it’s relevant to anyone.
