Need knife information

I have a Gerber Fixed blade knife and sheath. The number on the knife blade is 124175. It also says Gerber, Portland Ore. USA. The black leather sheath says Gerber and Portland Ore. also, but the number on the belt clip of the sheath is 97223. The handle of the knife is black. My father who passed away in 1995 owned it. He was a retired Air Force man. Can anybody give me some info on when it was made and what it might be worth?
