Just looking for a few experts to take a peek at what I have glanced at. I have learned alot about steel, blade types, locks, and about everything else under the sun this last week I have been here. Thank you all in advance for how great these forums are :)

Benchmade BM551 Griptilian, or Benchmade BM556 Mini Griptilian
Camillus C2335B Heat, or Camillus C2315B Sizzler
Columbia River 5011
Kershaw 1670BLK K.O. , or BlurKershaw 1550 K.O. Blackout
Vtech VT13100 TitanX Folder

Or... should I just save up another few bucks and get a Ritter Grip.

After all this wonderful research, I get to learn how to keep the darn thing sharp hehe :)

I'd get the Grip. ;)
And the Camillus C2335B Heat, life is not complete without an assisted opener.

And the .......... oh just get them all, it's an addiction. :D

For me the large models are what I would get. I don't know your situation regarding knife size. I've never owned nor handled any of the knives you have mentioned. So what am I doing posting? I've read too many excellent reports regarding the Ritter Grip, from people whom I trust to know what they are talking about. I would say.......get the Ritter Grip, in large of course! :D :D :D

The ritter grip is definitely the way to go, but if its a little pricey for you, just go with a griptilian. Same knife with different steel. Griptian will do you fine until you get a ritter grip, or a sebenza.

Since you've been bitten by the knife bug, it's only a matter of time before you buy them all. The sooner you accept this fact, the better. ;)

That said, I'd buy the Griptilian first. It's one of the best EDC knives out there, with a good price tag.

Even I want to buy one more and I just started. It'll probably end up turning into some vicious cycle. :D

Personally, I'm hooked on the Axis locks and lean towards smaller knives so I'd go with the BM 556. But knowing myself all too well, I'd end up paying a bit more for the mini RSK Mk1 (Doug Ritter Grip - BM 558).

Get the Grip.

Throw all the others out.

I'd even recommend getting the D2 steel Grip or Mini-Grip from Cabela's.

Camillus or BM.

Vtech is junk, as is the Van Hoy from CRKT.

And Kershaws aren't as tough.

Another vote for the RitterGrip, when I was looking to buy my first good knife around 10 months ago (hoping to spend around $60 max at the time-_-) I came here looking for suggestions, and ended up being convinced of the merits or the RitterGrip, and ended up with one, which I have been quite pleased with. It has served me well, and continues to be my EDC around half the time, rotating with the BM 806d2 I picked up several months later.

And if you haven't learned it by now, you will soon that 80%+ of the suggestions you get in a post like this will be just an ever so small amount more expensive then what you were looking at that you must be able to afford just that much more:P.

That is kinda the boat I am in... looking for the 60 dollar area or lower knife as my 2nd, and having it be my only edc for now... no rotation. It has been between the Heat and Griptillian... then I was worried about how large it would be and started looking at the Sizzler vs Mini Grip.

Now I see someone suggesting the D2 steel versions of the Grips, but if I spend 80 why not spend a few bucks more and get the darn Ritter.

Arg :/

There are only three things in life worth having: a good wife, a good income, and a Ritter Grip.
