Well, I don't really need another Becker since I still haven't beaten on my 7 yet but I'm already thinking about the next knife or two. I've resolved to make the BK7 my go-to woods knife and I'm going to start bringing it out paired with other larger and smaller blades I have. My goal is to find a good combination of knives to handle the usual tasks I do without going overkill. My previous pair was a Spyderco Bushcraft and MMHW DV8 and the BK7 lands sort of in between the two as far as size and weight. I like to have a good chopper and a small belt knife and I think I can go a good deal smaller than what I've been using. While I'm messing around, I think I'd like another Becker that may not see a lot of woods-use initially but is just cool to have. I'm thinking either a BK9 or BK4 will fit the bill but I want to hear what you guys feel is a 'must have' Becker.

I dont have a 4 but the 9 is my favorite!

If you don't have a nine, you're missing out on the true Becker experience. Get one.

The BK14 is definitely on the short list. Leaning towards a BK9 but the Machax has an undeniable cool-factor.

Is the14 still a collaboration knife or was that a limited time thing or maybe I'm thinking of something else?

Here's a side by side comparison of the 7 and 9:

Here's the mighty Muskox:

The 2 and 11 are always crowd pleasers too!!

I love them all. It would be hard to recomend just one or two. I say...get em all!! lol. Good luck!!

I talked a close friend into buying one the last time he came up to visit (he was looking at a CRKT Stiff K.I.S.S.). He's not a knife guy on the same level as most of the people here but he raves about it nonetheless.

I'm normally a fan of large knives. The BK-11 however is probably the most useful little knife I've ever owned. For its compact size, it is remarkably stout and versatile. I don't know how I got along without it all these years.

The 9 and 14 are really a sweet combo. Unless you hunt or fish a lot or something then you might want a 15 or 17 instead of the 14.

I'd say both. My Cinci Machax is my all-time favourite knife although I haven't yet tried out the new BK-4 (thinner blade) but so far all the reviews are positive. I recently bought a BK-9 and I have to say that I quite like it also. And just to put this in perspective, I'm not a fan of all the Becker knives (although the 16 is starting to grow on me :( ).

My setups are BK7 and a BK14 for small stuff, this is my primary setup when I'm going fishing off the beaten path a bit. If I'm camping or plan on building my shelter or need to clear a trail I bring my BK4 and BK16. 4 handles very big stuff, and the 16 becomes my main belt knife. I like pairing the knives up like this to play off eachothers weaknesses and strengths.

Ok so its needs to be 2 BK9s and 2 BK4s and then you quad wield them, one of each for each hand, holding em between fingers if you must. Wolverine would pee his pants if he saw you coming, he would see you and be like, "nope" and walk the other way. That or you could be all reasonable and stuff, which is no fun, and carry your 7, a 9, and maybe a 14 or something.
