Need MORE help identifying a dagger

This is one of my father's collection. A friend of his bought it for him in Germany in 1964.
It has a four inch long spearpoint style blade, with a false edge. Near the hilt, on the blade is written ROSTFREI on one side, and on the other

SOLINGEN

It has a curved guard on one side. It has black scales, and a full stainless steel hilt including a boot shaped end. On the side that has ROSTFREI written on the blade, it has a diamond shaped crest with some sort of design in it.
 
Rostfrei means rustfree or stainless steel.Solingen is the city in Germany where it's made and Everts is the maker.
