Will there ever be enough supply of pm2's to meet the demand? I want something to go with my m390 for a reasonable price. 2014?! Til full production again 8'(. I want full production on sprints now 8)

If you believe what people are saying in other threads then no there will never be enough supply. IOW Spyderco is afraid of stepping up production and having too many knives to sell.

My opinion is that customers will get tired or searching for PM2's and they will move to other knives and/or other manufacturers. Someday the PM2 will be old news and people will no longer be looking to buy them, and there will be plenty of them for sale.

Possibly true, or maybe Spyderco is already in the step to continue production speed. The PM2 popularity will of be going anywhere anytime soon and if so they can recalibrate their machines to the next big thing. At that price point they will not be making tons of money per knife so the current product does not need to be invested into like say CRK constantly does with their Sebenza (or any othe high dollar, continuous changing product/knife). I agree with your point of too much production. And being stuck on too high of a stock being highly invested in something, that could be a scary situation for a long period of time.

As for the OP, if you truly wanted to vent to people who feel your frustration, then go to one of the other 94 threads on this topic, I'm sure they all feel the same and you can all bitch about Spyderco being slow with production. While you do that I'm going to go play with my Para2's. (can't resist a free reading these). Have a good night all.

Wow, bdmicarta, you hit the nail on the head there. When I saw the prices a bit over 200 for the pm2 on the secondary market everywhere I did start looking at the competition at the price point. There still wasn't anything that really does it for me like the pm2 though right now. It's such great design, and light. I'm starting to think that the new mule will have to be my next knife purchase though. That K390 sounds like wicked stuff!

Thanks for the echo DR.BOOM... I guess you didn't see my post that said "my bad", nope you did.

I'm sorry I'm not from around these parts much and bladeforums is the only forum I've actually been a part of. This kind of attitude towards users does not benefit the forum any more than a foolish mistake of overposting a topic though. I have learned from this and will be using the search function more. It's kind of funny because I was browsing the Kershaw sub forum a lot recently checking out the stuff from blade and got bummed by how the mods have to act over there and thought this forum was more my style.

To make it up to those of you who are sick of the topic of not enough production. Here is my ghetto waved m390 with my new XDS 9mm. I have to say it will take some practice to shoot well without a pinky on the grip and such a short distance between sights.

Nice para 2, and you also have good taste in a carry weapon! What kind of hollow points are you using?

Thanks daddyo, it is a factory second and flips like a dream! I just got the xds, exciting and recommended. The ammo 8)... after a bit of reading and watching I went with 147 grain federal HST. I picked up a few hundred rounds in December. I am hoping to be able to get some more soon for testing it out in it.
