Need new forum

I think bladeforums needs to have more focus on us custom knifemakers. It needs more forums which focus solely on knifemaking. Yes, I know, they have the bladesmithing forum, but what about us stock removal makers? I suggest a folding knife forum, and perhaps a custom knifemaking forum. Anyone agree with me?
 
Relax, you just got here.The shop talk forum is moderated by Kit Carson, a stock removal maker.
This "privately owned" discussion board has been here over 5 years, it's a little presumptuous to come here as a basic member and immediately make demands.
 
I'm not making demands, just suggestions. Dont get riled up Lifter4him. (whats that supposed to mean anyway?) It just seems like there should be more here on the making of knives, though it already is a good discussion board. CKD forums is a good example. But it seems that this forums is not the same because it doesn't cover knifemaking as well. This is more of a general knife discussion, am I right? But I would rather not discuss things with perople who get offended at my suggestions. It appears that my idea is not welcome here, but it was worth a try. Thank you very much for listening to me gripe.
 
Yah want a new forum, here's what ya do.

Go to the bladeforums service and support forum, post you suggetsion there, thaen get sufficient support to convince Spark to make a new forum for you.

I'm not being flip, that's how it's done.
 
What kind of stuff are you looking for that is not covered in the Shop Talk - BladeSmith Questions and Answers forum? There are lots of stock removal guys over there that can provide information or just gab if that's what you want.
 
I'm not riled and didnt mean to come off that way. I read your post as kind of a demand. Obviously you didnt mean it that way. Such is the problem of reading typed words, it doesnt always come across as intended.
I think you're right, this board is maybe more geared towards general knife discussion.
There are plenty of forgers at the shop talk forum, I'm sure you'll enjoy it there. And you're right, CKD is good too, I go there often.
