Need new Hones for Lansky system

Need to get some new hones for my Lansky system. Are the Arksansas stones better, then the man made stones?

what steel are you sharpening with it? that will be your deciding factor between what stones you get. diamonds would be ideal for super steel anything with a fair bit of vanadium in it.

the ceramic kit is a decent kit for non super steel.

The Lansky Arks are not the greatest in my experience, I get much better results with the ceramics and diamonds.

The diamonds do need a very light touch as they are pretty narrow.

Actually I would love to get the blue ceramic in a larger size.
It leaves a nice finish and it cuts well.

best diamond hones I've ever used on the kme. doesn't wear out like the other diamond stones that are just surface mounted.

I would avoid using diamond's on softer steel though. that's where ceramics shine. Arkansas I don't have much experience with.

i've got an arkansas for the lansky and have never used it.

I've been using diamonds for a few months up to the fine, and like them so far.
