Been a bunch of threads on this topic.

The normal advice is to carry two tools. A mini prybar such as a pribaby and the folder of your choice.

My own preference is to carry a small cold chisel along with my knife.

The pivot pin is the weak spot in a folder used for prying. Even with a stout blade, the pin is only going to be so strong.
