Need Nickel Silver in big size

I want to buy a bar of nickel silver that is 3/4" x 1" or 1" x 1". Its for a damascus fighter with a guard that looks like it has bolsters. I like to do things the hard way. Does anybody sell the bigger sizes? It would also look cool as a gun barrel/frame.

cant help ya out there. but i do have a vast supply of brass alloy i got from my stepfathers job at a machine shop. its real tuff to cut with a grinder!!

Bruce ol buddy, I've got a 1 1/2" round bar of stainless steel you can flatten to get those sizes but sorry no N/S. If it will help, shoot me an e-mail with your address.

Bruce, I had the same problem last year on a Bowie guard, could not find any anywhere. What I ended up doing was silver brazing two pieces togather. I was going to hide the jount in plain sight with a grove but when finished and buffed out no matter what I did and how I looked at it I could never find the joint so I left it alone.

Melt ingots are about 3" X 3" X 1' and weigh about 30 lb. Check with local foundrys they might sell some.

I got pretty excited there for a minute (what is it about nickel silver?) and went looking at onlinemetals. No go, all they have is quarter inch. I wonder why it's so dang hard to find this stuff? I dig it and would use it more if I could find what I want. Good luck Bruce, I can't wait to see what you're dreaming up now...
