I want to put a pocket clip on my Vic. One Handed Trekker knife. Is there a way to do it or a Website that I can go to and send it in to be done?

I've seen many people attach their own, and knifekits sells clips I've seen on these customized ones, but I have no tools for drilling for screws. Think I'd have any luck epoxying a clip?

I woulda sent him to your section STR!

I just drilled 2 small pilot holes w/ my 1/16" bit and stole a clip from a junker knife I had and screwed it on by hand w/ a screwdriver. Works fine.

But would drilling a hole in a Plastic handled SAK work? I like the Idea you have about the clips off of a junk knife screwthe49ers but being the knife is a One handed trekker with the plastic handles, is making me wonder if it will work. Thanks guys.

You would have to drill and tap the scales , wouldn't be a whole lot holding the screw , you would have to be very carefull about stripping it out . Guys have done it ( check out SOSAK ) , but usually with micarta or G10 scales .

YMMV,

Chris

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. Thanks cdf, good point. I think what Im gonna do is just carry it on a lanyard and let it lay in my pocket in an up and down way. If I make the lanyard just short enough then it will lay that way. It works so far. I hook it to my belt loop with a small caribiner.

Take a look at this thread, it might help you out:

The SAKKlip

The SAK is more concealed with a clip on your pocket than with a lanyard attached to your belt loop. It's almost invisible and no matter how thick your SAK is, the clip balances it perfectly.

Good luck, and show us later what you come up with!

+1 on the SAKklip , I want to get a bevy of those bad boys .

There's your answer !

Chris
