Need Opinel info please...

Greetings all, I am looking into getting an Opinel or 6 for kitchen use. I remember seeing a link to a site that had a ton of them but could not find it in my search. Can anyone help me with some sources for Opinels?

edited to add: what is the steel in the carbon steel Opies? I remember seeing somewhere that it is 1090. (?)

Here's a link to Opinel's site. If you can't speak or read français, you can check out the Opinel Museum in English.

In the USA you can get them from several souces like Knife Center, Ragweed Forge, BokerUSA, Cutlery To Go just to name a few.

I'm gonna go with either Ragnar or Bayou LaFourche as I've done business with both in the past and they both are excellent. "Trouble" is, because these are so inexpensive... I gotta order more stuff to make the shipping charges worthwhile. It's gonna take me awhile to decide what else I want to get. Bummer.

I get my Opinels from Knives Plus,
though Smoky Mountain looks like it a better selection

Will you be using these as cooking knives or table knives?

Mongo-Opinels are made in France. Ever consider buying something made somewhere else?
