Need opinions on ban tang team Gemini regrind

I had 2 team geminis sent to ban tang for full height convex grinds and I would like to hear some opinions on weather or not I should have him extend the swedge to the tip. I leaning to yes but I would like to hear what everyone thinks. He is currently working on the first one. Thanks guys.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
 
I wouldn't. Seems to me the tip would be stronger without doing it.
 
Personally i wouldn't do it as i think they look great how they are but they are your knives and if you think they will look better after that, go for it!
 
I would say it would definitely look better but if you are going for performance, that is going to be basically a double thinned tip and that might not be ideal for a user.

This. It's already plenty stabby as-is and any small gain in penetration ability would seem more than offset by loss of tip strength. Unless your intended use is killing opponents who are clad in chainmail, I just don't see the point (no pun intended).
 
Haha I was thinking the same thing about strength but I was sure if it looked a little weird the the swedge the way it is. I mean I don't intend on stabbing anything too crazy, just using the knife how a knife is meant to be used.

Go with your gut and what you think you'll ultimately like more. Even giving up a bit of strength you're still dealing with infi, so there's plenty of strength to go around.

Anytime "Ban" and "Busse" are together is something extremely special. Don't forget pics for us when all is said and done, or hey, if you don't like it afterwards let me know and I'll take it off your hands. ;)
 
Get er done and show pics....you only live once bro....besides.....anything Banned is gunna be sweet anyway so I say go for it.
 
Swedge to tip image.jpg these knives are so durable I think it can easily take the regrind all day and just simply be an amazing cutter.

I wouldn't. Unless Ban was doing it....so you have it in the right hands for this, IMO...and it does look good! :):thumbup:

Wow. Looking at them now, how was it even a question. Looks amazing. And strength doesn't look like it will be a concern at all.

Tired of one yet? I'm ready for mine. :)
