Got it purchased just moments ago - just as I said on phone. E-mail details in morning.

NDN,
WISH I COULD BE THERE WITH YOU & RUS!:(
Would love to bring my little H&K 380 to let Rus shoot, course THEN he would want to get one or try & trade me out of it!
jim

Jim, I'd bring my Browning and you'd end up begging to swap your HK 380 straight across for my Browning '55 380. If you had all 4 calibers I might take it, ( the early model HK pocket pistol - or if it was the squeeze cocker ) and you'd be ecstatic over the deal.

The Browning 55 is in nice shape, little blueing wear, but mechanically perfect. Talk about a melt down job, it came out of the factory that way you could carry it between your skin and your boxer's or skivvy's and never chafe.

Then I would come home and maybe take my other 55 out of it's box, fondle it, and put it back in the box still new and unfired with papers and warranty card after 40 years.

:D

Rus,
You're dreaming! :D Fire my K3 squeese cocker,& YOU WOULD KILL ME FOR IT!Would have enjoyed hasslin you & THAT NDN!
jim:D

Rusty, email rec'd -- address and phone number sent. Don't get lost. Tulsa is bigger than Hawthorn.

Oh, I forgot to mention how much I like the cz83 380. $455 plus tax and Brady. Each comes with 2 ten round mags, hicaps are now up to $45 a mag. Wish I'd bought a third one before CZ-USA jumped the price almost a hundred last month. ( $225 for the first, $230 for the second = $455. )

Rus,
Could buy "all" I want of used ,excellent condition ,for less than $200 ,think they were $150!??:D Will ck. gun show this weekend!
jim:cool:

Email rec'd Uncle. Thank you.

Yeah, Tulsa may be bigger than Hawthorne, but you gotta go further between our traffic light and the next one south ( Indian Springs about 300 miles). North is a different story - Fallon has several and it's only 72 miles away. So that means you miss the light you have a long way to go to the next. Take that, Nu Yalkers and Chicagoites.

Drive it often enough and you can tell where you are from recognizing the different sagebrush plants along the way.

Yeah, that drive from Reno down to Las Vegas is pretty barren. One stop light in 372 miles pretty much tells the story.

By the way, if you see that squirrel in Catoosa running down the power lines bring back his head.

When I lived in Tahoe, we had a squirrel in the woodpile. One summer I was stretched out on a lounger in the yard 10 feet from the wood pile and leaving trails of walnuts closer and to me. Finally I felt a thump as something landed next to the nuts on my bellybutton. Cracked my eyes open and there he was, looking at me. Never let out a peep, but that squirrel musta thought a 6 or 7 earthquake on the Richter scale was coming, the way my stomach was starting to shake with silent laughter. He got the nuts first though, before he bugged out. Then I started roaring.

Far as that Okie squirrel goes, I may give it a try. Not very hard though. I do want to pick up a wrist rocket slingshot out of town. Seeing a half dozen Highway Patrol cars ( we've got a few based in the Hawthorne office but they periodically move roving NHP wolf packs into the area then move on to prey on another area ) sitting in the parking lot brand spanking new gives me a severe urge to support the local glass shop.   There are very very few Officers of the Peace left in Nevada even in the sticks anymore. There's for (deleted) sure there are none in the NHP - just bleeping "LEO"s in it to do good to their careers.

Rusty and Jim, You guys need to shoot a SIG-SAUER P232 in .380 ACP! By far the most accurate compact pistol made today! I know you don't want to hear this but try one and you'll see!;) And if you want to try a "REEL" pistol try a SIG 220 in .45 ACP or my personal fav, a 229 in .40. I have to agree with ya though both HK and Brownwng do make a fine weapon!:)

LMRRAO. This should get interesting as Barb will scob anyone's knob that hurts even one little hair of *Her* squirrel's head!!!!!!!
How come y'all think I haven't had the squirrel for supper yet.?!?!?!? :p

And now there are 2 squirrels. Barb baits them with dried corn cobs tied on the fence with a clotheshanger.
And Barb is close to nameing them as well. She already calls 'em, "Her fat little sucker's."
And believe me you don't wanna think about hurting anything Barb calls one of, "Her fat little sucker's" up to and including me.:D

Skag,
The Sig 380 is "good"but the HK K3 is in a class by itself!First, you have to find one, then shoot it,you will find every other 380 is in second or third place! Sig 220, great gun talked a SF friend into shooting one,he bought two!I used to "HATE" 380'S until
I shot the HK!To think Rus & I have similar tastes in "ANYTHING" is very scary !!Uncle eating brains "IS" sick!!:barf:
jim

All I want are the heads. Barb can have the rest. She'd settle for that -- wouldn't she???????????

I don't know Jim! I don't think anything can beat a SIG out of the box and then some! I'll try to find a K3 to shoot and I'll get back to you with the bad news!;) :p

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING MAKES UNCLE'S SQUIRREL BRAINS COMMENT LOOK MILD. THIS IS A TAKE OF ON ONE OF YVSA'S JOKES AND IS TRULY A SICK PUPPY. IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR STOMACH, AT LEAST BE SURE TO SARAN WRAP YOUR KEYBOARD FIRST.

Considering Barb's inclinations, I guess I'll pass on the squirrel. I got the following off of nativenet and can get you the details for Yangdu if you would like.

Quote:
I E-mailed the puppy recipe to my mother to get her reaction ( we are Laguna/Navajo ) . Her words were "There is nothing strange about it. It is much like cooking prairie dogs ( ask your uncle about it sometime ).

After thinking on it a bit, squirrels and chucks ( groundhog, woodchuck, prairie dog, and rockchuck ) aren't too different except for size. So if you could scramble squirrels brains, why not just substitute chihuahua or pekingese instead, Unc?

I will be properly ashamed of myself if I ever stop ROTFLMAO.
