I found a long [40"] borang ? in a pawn shop, the blade starts out wide and curves down right from the handle then curves back up to a long thin point.Handle is horn in the traditional cockatoo head with brass hilt. I want to find a site that shows differnt styles of blades so I know what type this is and about what value it has. It appears to be made well and has a leather sheath. Only bad point is some one tried to polish it with a dremel tool. Can anyone help?

40" long?? That's weird. Barongs are usually a LOT shorter than that.

Thanks for the sites, I really like the one on Moro blades. I guess barong is not the right term for it but I did not know what it is called I'm still tring to find out,that long thin curve really throws me. I would all most ccall it a bolo exept it is so thin towards the tip. If I find out what style it is I'll let you know, wish I could print a drawing.
