Hi all,

Well, it started with Tim early Thursday morning. Thankfully, he is hanging in, ad hasn't needed a trip to the hospital so far. Today, the other 4 kids went down one by one, emptying their tummies at least twice each, some of them several times today, Cathy and I are not well either. I am putting out fluid through the back door, so to speak.

A nasty virus, I suppose.

Lord willing, everyone will keep some fluids down by tomorrow.

I had wanted to write about the great day at the range my two oldest sons and I had last Saturday, and a double lunch/shooting date we had scheduled with our friends for tomorrow.

Well, that will not happen although we had a great day last week.

In the grand scheme of things, not a terrible ordeal, but it feels like it!

I am so glad we are able to keep warm and dry, and have a hospital nearby.

How many parents who love their children in this world don't have the blessings we do.

I sure will try to kick in some for Ram next time!

:D

Not worried about "bad karma" though.

I'm sure it is ultimately a mercy the way it has happened!

I'm really praying Tim won't need the hospital this year! Nor any one else in this house!

It doesn't seem that long ago, Last Dec., when I was in one hospital, Tim 40 miles away in another, and my wife too sick to drive, or to take care of all the other sick ones. The Lord provided. My boss actually drove me into the Hospital, stayed for my surgery, then brought me home later that afternoon.

Thanks to all!

take care,

Tom

Tom,
There's nothing like an intestinal virus to quickly change an otherwise sunny day into a miserable one:(. Having to look after others, especially young ones, is especially hard. I hope this proves to be a brief bout of misery for you and your family. Smoke from Texas.

They say misery loves company, but you all are overdoing it.

I am praying for your swift and complete recovery!

Very sorry for you guys.

My first thought was food poisoning. Hitting the weakest first then working it's way up time wise, with the two healthiest getting the least sypmtoms.

Stay hydrated and wait it out.

Prayers from the west coast.

Healing smoke and caring thoughts, we and our extended family shared the fun that is an intestinal virus just before thanksgiving, thanks be that we finished safely and in time to all be together.
What worked...if even just a little: plain yogurt to rebuild all the good intestinal bacteria, mommas chicken soup, brown rice, egg drop soup, oatmeal with honey.
Tom, keep you and yours warm, time to watch LOTR all the way through or maybe DR. Zchivago,( our favorite flu and couch movie ).

Thanks guys!

You all warm my heart!

Actually, my oldest son and I watched "Iron Will" last night. hadn't seen it in a while.

Now, off to Wal mart, to get water. Holding tanks too low,no water pressure in the system right now...

take care,

Tom

We had a Thanksgiving like the one you describe several years ago. A nasty bug went through all of us. No fun at all.

Prayers for wellness, sent from SC. Hope everyone feels better soon.

I fought something like that last year. It was tough keeping everyone out of my self-imposed quarantine zone, but nobody else got it. I was at the point where I was so tired of dry heaving that I would gulp down a pint of cold water only to instantly send it back up - and I thought that felt good.

I sincerely hope that you and the troops get over this thing before it gets that bad. Lotsa smoke from Alabama.
