The OKC sheath gave up the ghost and fell apart from short term hard use.
So Im in need of, and would prefer a kydex sheath for the Ranger RD9 Bush series. This is a field knife and would prefer something in a high ride position with handle placed above the belt line rather than a drop loop.
Anyone know of a replacement sheath for the Ranger Bush series that would be similar to what I mentioned?

Did you get the RD9 or the RBS9?
Ive found a couple kydex sheaths but they are for the .25" thick 5160 steel RD9's.Haven't seen anything online so far for the RD Bush series.

Some observations:
As far as the ride height of the sheath, mostly due to personal preference and RBS-9/RD-9 blade length the sheath needs to be with the front of the handle at,or nearly at, the top of the belt like a high ride pistol holster. Also would be nice to have a flexible nylon web belt attachment so the sheath could flex, rather than a rigid mount, like Cold Steel does with their kydex sheaths.Would certainly make life easier sitting, taking a knee and all around mobility.

I modified the Ontario sheath by removing the top retention strap and folded the drop loop over and sewed it in place.Folded the bottom of the sheath and sewed it up too, which placed the molle attachment strap snap on the outside of the sheath. That raised the ride height up over two inches, and reduced the OAL over three inches improving function greatly.Took a fall and ripped the back of the sheath nearly off when I rolled over it and hung the knife handle...but it was working good until that point.
