Guys -

Just picked this old boy up and the handle components are slightly loose due to a loose pommel. Would like to get that fixed if possible but don't know folks that do that. Any recommendations of anyone here on the forum, and what cost might be? Overall length is 11" with a 6.5" blade.

Take a junk screwdriver, cut a slot in the blade, and tighten the nut in the pommel.

Great looking knife there Utah-Fish! Love the handle. Should really look good when cleaned up and polished. Great find.

Blessings,

Omar

Thanks Omar. Yes, its a really nice one, my first stag handled Marbles and I can see why folks are really into these. My plan is to tighten up the pommel/handle and probably just give it a light mineral oil bath, get it some new pants and use it. (Might sell it .......who knows.) Comments anyone?

Keep the mineral oil off the handle.
You're welcome.

Never heard of not using it on a blade before Bill. Why is that? Is your recommendation just to tighten the pommel and that's it? Any other suggestions? Just found out that Marbles stopped using the MSA stamp in 1911. This dude is over 100 years old. Wow!
