need REKAT info

My beater SIFU has lost one spacer and three of the hex screws that hold the spacers in place......how can I go about contacting someone to get replacements?
 
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but REKAT is no longer making knives. Someone thought the company was still in business making tools, but I don't really know. Your best bet would be to contact a knife maker and see where they source their hardware. Maybe one of the knifemakers that belong to the Forum will chime in with a suggestion. I wish I could be more help. I have several REKATS myself, and I'm in the same prediciment if I lose hardware. Good luck.
 
Yeah, REKAT has gone the way of the do-do bird.

You might need to get a knifesmith to do some custom mods and repairs to it.

Maybe check with guys like Rob Simonich, or Pat Crawford, who did work for them. They might be able to do something.

Of course, there are lesser known but talented amateur knifesmiths and knife designers here at these forums who might be able to repair it for you.
 
I'm soon to be faced with the same dilemma. My pocket Hobbit is gettin' a lil' tired.

I've been thinkin' about goin' to the "knives wanted" section and trying to buy an old, well used REKAT knife or two that I could cannibalize for parts.

Wouldn't think spacers and screws would be that manufacturer specific though...
 
Crap! I had heard they went out of business, I was just hoping they still had warranty service available through Mr. Brothers or someone else who was involved. Thanks for the replies guys.
