I just lost my Keshaw Nakamura for the second time.I doubt I'll find it this time.

I'm looking for a similar folder but I want it to be cheaper so I won't be as upset if I loose it. I have several knives but I liked the Nakamura because it didn't look tactical yet had a great blade. I use this for edc in NYC, and when traveling, therefore I need to be careful about appearances. Thanks...

Keeping it Kershaw, take a lot at the Leek or Splinter knives.

If you want to go lower profile, a slip joint will do the trick.

Have you looked at KnifeKits? Darrell Ralph's DDRI and DDRII have a very similar handle shape (since they are kits, you can do alot of different thing to the bolsters and scales). The kits are well made and easy to put together.

Just be forewarned.... These are the kits that got me hooked into knife making. No hope for me now..... I'm a knife junkie.

have you tried looking at mcusta knives. They have a nice look to them and you can even get damascus blades (30 layers) with a vg-10 core. they are usually in the 80-100 range so thats not too much less then the nakamura but for some reason people are more warm to pretty knives.
