I am moving from NJ to AZ at the end of this month. If you do not have someone by early July, I can make scales for both of you.
Looks like it might behoove me to buy or trade into a Scrapivore...
Once I land in AZ and get myself set, if someone wants to send me theirs, I will knock a few bucks off of the price in exchange. I will hold onto it for a little bit as I will be using it to pattern everyone's scales.
Tucson area, and I am Not ready for the heat. I am a Butcher by trade and I have spent 80%+ of my working life in a fridge. I am very acclimated to the cold, and shovel snow in NJ in a light waterproof shell jacket... But, the Misses loves the heat, so here I come...If you're moving to the Phoenix metro area I'll be "local" to you; I can lend you my Scrapivore to use as a template. I hope you're ready for the heat (unless you're moving to a place that has some elevation ... then not so bad)!
Welcome (in advance) to a free State!

This will be a test for me... Even though I do love your knife and firearms regulations (or rather, the lack thereof).
You are correct, I will still be working in a meat dept. so I will have a slight daily respite from the conditions. My wife and I moved here from Maryland in 1999; I've experienced the transition you're about to make. You should be "used to it" by your 2nd summer (there's humidity here mid-June through mid-Sept., but nothing like NJ). If you're still going to be working in a 'fridge in Tucson, then you'll probably be anxious to get to work every day during 6-months of high temps.
