  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

...It's hard to tell from pictures sometimes...Do ya think this is a NS frame??...
I'm lookin' for one for a project I want to do but I can't be sure this is Nickel Steel...Any opinions?...Thanks guys...

...Thanks guys...I was afraid you'd all say that...I suspected it might be brass but I was hopin'...LOL...TLC...Got yer message, reply sent...

UPDATE: Well I tossed out a $20 dollar bid on this knife and it turned out to indeed be a NS 112. The blade is as used as it appears but the frame is "salvageable"...I have the blade out and the frame is in the process of being gone over. The auction picture didn't show the major damage on the top side or the back side of the knife...I got most all of the "dings and nicks" out and and I'm now working on reshaping it to original. The scales are toast so they are in the "circular file"...Trying to decide what to use for the scales now. The blade's gonna be a "full chipflint drop point"...I've pressed a bronze bushing into it and it's been fitted to the lock-bar. Looks pretty good so far. My kid has her camera out with friends so no pics for now...:(...Lots more sanding, rivet making, tweaking and polishing ahead to do yet...Debating if I should polish the bolsters and liners or blast 'em to match the "chip flint" blade... Just gotta find more time to work on it now...
