Hiya,

I'd like to get a nice sheath made for my SOG Tomcat III but I don't want to have to ship the knife all the way overseas to get her done.

Do any sheathmakers here have a Tomcat III by any chance?

Just thought I'd try my luck.....

Hey bro, contact knife kits.com get some kydex, rivets and a hand setter and go for it yourself....There is plenty of info on forming your own kydex sheath. I'v only been doin it for a few weeks and not only is it a blast and very rewarding but I'm starting to make some cash from my friends. The hardest part is probably the press, but like I said there is plenty of ideas on here..Good Luck!

I don't have a Tomcat, but you might increase your luck if you elaborate a little. Do you prefer leather or kydex? How do you want to carry the thing? Belt loop or clip?

Good luck! :)

Sorry, yes I prefer leather. I don't really enjoy kydex very much. It has its purpose but I prefer leather.

I was thinking of a vertical sheath with a belt loop, custom fitted to my favourite belt, a Spec-Ops Better BDU.

The problem I have with the generic nylon sheaths, like the one the Tomcat comes with, is that the loops are always too big and the sheath flops around on the belt. I like it to ride nice and secure.

Sounds nice! I hope you find a maker! :)

I agree about those generic nylon sheaths, sometimes they're good and sometimes they're, well, junk.
