I love my Beckers, but for me to feel complete, I need to sheath them with sheaths I really like. I know you guys are familiar with who makes what around herec so I'll ask the question.

I think what I really want is a form fit leather dangler with a snap retention strap for my '9. I would like one mywifethinksimcrazy made, but a dangler instead of a pancake. Also firesteel loops. Any suggestions on who I should talk to?

Moose makes 'em. Maybe he'll chime in. Beyond Moose, there's a whole sheath-making forum here, complete with makers of all stripes.
I've always liked Dwayne Puckett's work, but you're going to be looking at a serious wait there, and you might have to send in the knife.

Send MyWifeThinksImCrazy a message and see what he can do for ya. If you already like his work, heck, never hurts to get in touch and see if he can fix you up with what you want.

Typo on the second paragraph...that description was for a '2.

Yeah, I don't need something super-fancy like a hedgehog. These 2 are users..it just needs to hold up. Also would like someone who could do it no more than 3 weeks. My last sheathmaker experience had me about to pull my hair out because I thought he took my money and ran.

I dont know if you have the time, but you could try making one. Ive been looking at guides on the forums and around the internet to make one for my bk2. Good luck finding someone.

emcarrol is one of the best-kept secrets in the sheath-making industry. His company name is Volclae Design. I am an extremely satisfied customer of his, and buying from him now would give you the added satisfaction of helping someone who lost his home and most of his possessions in the Joplin tornado. I'm not positive about his ability to produce new sheaths in light of that fact, but I know if there's any way he can, he will, because he's selling his knives and on-hand stock that he was able to salvage in the Exchange right now to desperately try to raise money.

The sheath he made for me is a hybrid, Kydex and leather, but I'm sure he makes leather-only sheaths too. Here's a hybrid he did for his own BK9:

And here's an example of his dangler designs, this one for a Busse:

Here's the sheath he made for me, which has several more versatile features than the Hedgehog has, but at about half the price. This was the last piece he made and shipped before the tornadoes hit:

Great guy to work with, great craftsmanship, and his prices are more than competitive. I can't recommend him highly enough. Give him a shot.

Sweet. Love that Dangler! Will email him for some other stuff I have in mind. If he lost his house, it's a sure bet he lost his stuff too.

I see you in here Nick! Wanna make a dangler for some $$$? Sent you a FB friend request too. (Edit: Never mind...saw you did that 20 minutes ago).

Something like that Eli sheath in a dangle format with a retention strap would look way cool I think. I'd love to get a sewing machine that could do leather and learn myself...love doing mods. Unfortunatley, haven't had OT since November which cuts out $150 of play money a week (almost all of it!). Otherwise I'd start messing with Kydex again too.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say anything about making and selling you a sheath. I'd be happy to talk with you about it off site though.

If Nick pulls off this sheath we came up with (no reason to think he wont), this thing is going to be sick! Don't want to ruin the suprise, but it will be something you aren't used to seeing.
