I just got this knife and plan on making my own sheath. I've been making sheaths for my own knives for about 4 years now and have most of the necessary sheath making tools and I know the basics. I don't want to make just a plain sheath for this knife, I want something a little nice but I am drawing a blank. So if any of the sheath experts, could post examples of the type of sheath you would make for this knife, please do. Just looking for ideas and wont do a direct copy of someone else's ideas.

Here is a pic of the knife, about 7 1/2" blade, 12 1/2" OAL.

thanks

I don't know how you would plan on carrying it but I would go with a Randall Sheath. I don't know how to post the link but Nick681 has a great tutorial in the stickies. Very nice blade by the way.

A really simple "Darryl Dixon" style sheath would be ideal for that one. Like this:

Dont worry about "copies" most everything you see here is the product of inspiration, given freely. Those who want to protect their "original" ideas are simply protecting greed. Took that from someone I admire more than most others and been in the leather sheath game longer than anyone else.

thanks, guys. I did pick up some tips in Nick681's tutorial and will probably do something similar to leatherman's example. thanks again.

Finally got my sheath finished.

8-9 Oz veg tanned leather from Tandy, Fishing British Tan and Tandy Chestnut Highlight dyes. I think it turned out okay. ;)
