My Inova X5T has finally drained the batteries. Where's the best place to get some replacements without draining the wallet?

Thanks,

The Surefire SF123 3-volt lithiums are highly thought of by the members of Candlepowerforums.com. And those are some guys who go through ALOT of 3-volts!

In fact, Surefire--based solely on its Surefire SF123--was essentially just awarded the #1 Award in "Favorite Battery Manufacturer".

You can see the rest of the results here:

Well, I'm not too sure how they compare to the SF ones as you'd have to talk to the man behind batterystation for that; his name escapes me. I would personally just order some from SF's website as they are incredibly cheap there, however, their flashlight prices are still MSRP.

If you aren't insistent on OEM replacements, I've replaced my 123's at my local Wal-Mart. Less snob appeal, but the batteries were cheap.

Snob appeal?!?

Surefire batteries are 12 for $15 and are the best on the market. The batteries you bought at Walmart (be they Energizer, Duracell, or Rayovac) are normally ~$10 for two. Which one is the smarter option?

Limit 3 packs of 5 batteries each. Not sure if they want to sell or are doing it as a service to their flashlight users, but the price is right at Arc Flashlight. I am not sure what the shipping charge is on batteries. On regular orders it is/was $5 for FedEx 3-day Express.

My Arc-LSL came with a Duracell, but it is now running on Yuntong batteries without problems.

Here's an update. I've had a case of 12 style 123A batteries on order directly from Surefire for a few weeks. The shipment never arrived.

I spoke this morning to Tom in customer service, and he informs me that during the holidays the plant was shut down for inventory. New shipments have just started to be processed.

If need be, I can get 'twozees' from a local hunting store. But the real deal is direct from the factory.

Exactly.

Someone making the strategic decisions over at Surefire got the private-label battery thing right.

While its probably not a huge money maker for Surefire, it serves the dual purposes of:

1) inexpensively fueling the standard Surefire hardware (i.e. their flashlights)

and

2) promoting the Surefire "brand awareness"

Quite brilliant if you think about it.

Good Evening All-

As long as you're ordering other stuff in addition to the batteries, getting them straight from SureFire is the cost-effective way to go. If you're just ordering batteries, the shipping doesn't make economic sense.

I ordered some bulbs, new filters, and several boxes of batteries and the shipping was reasonable. As a side bonus, if the SF batteries ever leaked acid all over my M2 Centurion, 9N Commander, or E2Es, it would probably be MUCH easier to make a warranty claim with them...

Thanks for all the help!

I ordered a dozen from Surefire. They were $20 with shipping. I'd looked at them at Walmart and they were $5 EACH!

That dozen should last me for a while as the X5T is my only light that takes lithiums

Thanks!
