Trying to decide on my "high end" folders this year. I know for sure I'll be getting the zt0452cf.
First question: should i get an emerson(probably commander/cqc-7/etak) or a zt0620?
Second question: get a....
1)CRK Sebenza 21 small (standard variation)
2)LionSteel Ti-Spine (polished violet)
3)Pohl Force Foxtrot Three Outdoor (all black)
4)Dpx Hest folder (triple black) and a emerson/zt0620
5)Strider SNG (tiger striped)
I will eventually get them all of course :) but only going with two of the choices this year. Thanks in advance for any input and advice.

Get the Strider tiger striped, the other knives are not worth giving your position away.

You have compiled an excellent list. Since your limit is two, choose the two that jump out and speak to you. You'll get more use and enjoyment out of them. When the funds are available, you'll make the right choice for you.

The Emerson!

The ZT0620, while designed by Emerson, is a very different knife. The Emersons are designed to be lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant, and effective. The ZTs are nice, but they are unnecessarily heavy.

The CQC-7 is a great, time tested and battle proven design. I've had both the A and B versions, and enjoyed both. The chisel ground tanto is a mean cutter, but if you use your knife for straight cuts it's not the best. The spearpoint '7A is a very useful bladeshape that worked well for everything I ever needed it for. The CQC-7 blade fits neatly into the handle and takes up very little space in the pocket, unlike the Commander which has a much bigger 'footprint' because the handle does not match the blade as efficiently.

3)Pohl Force Foxtrot Three Outdoor (all black)
4)Dpx Hest folder (triple black) and a emerson/zt0620
5)Strider SNG (tiger striped)

I'd recommend the Sebenza and the SnG.

Thanks for the input guys. Still cant make up my mind but think im going with ti spine first because im afraid lionsteel might stop making it. Then the strider probably just because I never handled one and i want to know how nice it really is. And i think I will go with a cqc 7 thats the emerson that i always gravitated towards.

That sounds like a great selection. Different flavors, all great stuff. The TiSpine makes me smile like an idiot every time I take it out of my pocket.
