Need some advice

So I've recently switched my fascination from straight blades to more curved examples such as Kopis and falcatas, there is one in particular I would like to have remade (or remake myself when I setup my own forge) on wrath of the titans ares had a kopis with a longer than standard handle and the blade itself looked a bit longer but slimmer as well compared to all the other kopis style swords I've been able to look up. I contacted the Armorer simon atherton from the movie to ask if he could share the dimensions and general design specifications but he said only warner brothers had the legal right to release the actual specs on it so since I had less luck getting in touch with them, I'd like to post some pics from the movie and ask how long the handle and blade look from each of your perspectives and how tough it would be to make one that looks exactly like that with say, between 1060 or 5160 spring steel and a blackened aged look to the blade.
Thanks ahead of time for any help and input.

Pardon me if the amount of pictures is a bit excessive. But i'd like to see if anyone agrees about the handle and blade being longer than a standard Kopis and about the blackened look to the sword along with it looking slimmer in the first curved area.

I'd like to post some pics from the movie and ask how long the handle and blade look from each of your perspectives [...]

The grip is about 3 times longer than normal. The total length looks like 30" give or take maybe 3" each way. Blade length of 23".

The blade length is normal enough for a (long) kopis, and it doesn't look slim for the type (e.g., the Korfu kopis is slimmer). The overall length is long, due to the very long grip.

Thank you very much, I thought it looked longer than a standard one, and you're sure the blade doesn't look a bit more slim than a standard kopis? Or does it just look like that because it's longer?

There's a lot of variety in kopis blades, so there isn't really a standard kopis. You could say there are two standard types. There are long relatively slender ones, 20-25" long blades (so similar blade length to this movie one), and these are, IIRC, usually more slender than the movie kopis. (I only looked at a picture of the Korfu kopis to check, though.) The shorter ones, with blades 16-20" are proportionally wider compared to the longer ones. I think the movie one might be in the slender end of the range of the short blades.

(Wikipedia tells me the long ones are early, and the shorter ones are later and Macedonian.)

On second thought, I'd revise my estimate of the length down to about 27" total, 21" blade. Assuming an actor with normal sized hands.

Finishing up a blade right now that's a lot like the one in the movie, minus the long grip. I was calling it a "big round-bellied leaf blade kukri thing," but maybe a "kopis-like object" is more accurate. :D

Apparently the actor is about 5'11 so he probably has normal sized hands, I was thinking the whole piece looks around 34-36 inches long, has a fairly normal curve but the way the hand guard part slopes outward from the knuckle area looks different in that it ends abruptly and also it has no engraving on the pommel, just a falcon head shape.

Well, I'll post a sneak peek. Making this blade has been a long, difficult task, and it's almost done. I'll post the whole story up when it's finished soon. It's made from a piece of a turbine blade from a C-5 Galaxy military cargo jet's engine, or was it a B-52?
It's an alpha-beta titanium alloy that has proven to be very...unusual. :D

Damnit, seeing something like that is making my hunger to start making my own swords and weapons, excuisite work so far man!
Anyone else want to post some pics of your favorite kopis in here? Or work that you've done? I'm becoming more of a fanatic of these types of swords.
