I'm a big Camillus fan. I've got a Cuda Maxx user that I hesitate to carry much because I'm afraid of losing/damaging it and not being able to replace it. It's probably the 3rd one I've owned. I like it enough that I've considered buying one to have it cut down to a 4" blade model.
I've also owned both versions of the Dominator (assisted and unassisted) at one time and my biggest gripe with it was the orientation of the clip (I like tip down). However, given the flipper, I think this one would be better served with just a low ride clip. I say this because my Maxx has a deep carry tip up clip, which is great, except when you put it in a pocket that isn't long enough and you realized it's partially open when you stick yourself with that very pointy tip.
Anyway, I've got the chance to purchase a user Dominator for $150, same with the Maxx. Is this a decent price on these? The Dominator has a little blade play, which would call for the lock to be adjusted. Who would you recommend to do the work? Also, given the rarity of the Maxx would you have the second cut down or just buy something else? Funds are tight and Blade is coming, but I've very tempted..
