I read the past posts here until the we hours of the morning quite often. Unless I was hallucinating or experiencing a flash back from an trial offer 40 years ago, I believe I came across a thread about a 40" Khukri. If anyone else has any recollection and can steer me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Try as I might, I can't find it no matter how hard I use the search function. Thanks in advance.

Oh, Mr. Tall where are you? HELP!

I know your not hallucinating, I saw it and remember it too, gosh durned if a can find it now though.
I also spent considerable time trying to find that Karda video of his Tear Drop Siru which is actually a Hanshee but nobody believes me on that one neither.

Earth to Mr Tall, your desperately needed here forthwith.

There is a photo of Yangdu at the bottom right of the main HI page with the biggest kukri I have ever seen... Could be close to 40"? I think I would need to use wrist braces..

My ears were burning...:)

Here ya go. Dave Rishar's 40" Ganga Ram Special:

There was a 40"+ monster sold or given a couple years back. Mind boggling size and weight. Is that the monster Ganga Ram of Dave Rishar's that was referred to?

Ya right on Bro!

Take a heck of a triangle box to ship that mother to bawanna. Love to give something like that a good home, surely would.

Thanks Mr. Tall, I thought I'd lost it! Darn that's a behemoth. Looks like it needed shipping on a flat bed. Beautiful but kind of useless. I was looking more for the Janawar. Can find even less on that besides brief mentions and Aunties picture on the web site.

Thanks again all for the assistance. After much reflection, this huge GRS would offer nothing to me but, as a show piece. I believe, for my stature a giant Janawar Katana would be more suited to my liking. I'm presently working on the details. You all know there is nobody better than Auntie to help with sizing the proper Khukri and she is taking on the task. Goodness knows when it might be finished. However, I'll keep you all apprised. Auntie believes Kumar is the best bet for the project. I agree and believe most will agree.

Yup, totally agree...

Well, I spent many an email about the Janawar with Auntie. Likes, dislikes, needs, wants, specs.............! After no more inquiries and the anticipation all ready building, I inquired what the finished product might be. Auntie being a wascally wabbit would only divulge Kumar would craft it and it will be "Beautiful". The curiosity may kill this cat. :)

Aunti dont need no Janawar. I hear rumor she can take care of herself just fine with a lil Sirupati! ;) Sure would like to have one myself tho.

i recall her saying once that she was riding a bus in nepal when someone started trouble. she pulled a 9in. khuk & it suddenly got peaceful again.

size doesn't matter, 9 inches is enough if you know how to use it. ;)
