this might take a minute or two, but i'm gonna start at the beginning...i hear the groans already...
in 2001,,i began having severe back problems, 5 discs out, bulged and/or removed later, after 4 failed back operations as well as a fusion, and my second stroke...i was done, stick a fork in me...then
in 2005 hurricane katrina washed away our little town,,,Waveland, Mississippi,,,if you look in the archives of newspapers, you will find this is where the hurricane came ashore and where "the town that washed away" is still being rebuilt...
what does this have to do with blades you ask...simple i lost all but 4 of my knives in the 32'ft flood that did in my house,,,we were actually allowed back on our small piece of Heaven about 3 months after the hurricane, lo and behold,,,my wife and i found a few, very few heirlooms,,,and i found four of my knives,,,i wrapped each one in leather intending to "fix" them, if i could a bit later...
since that time...i've had additional discs have thier way with me as well as what are called connective tissue diseases, including diabetes...also andditional two more strokes...resulting in a paralyzed digestive system, the collapse of the right side use my face, loss of the use of my legs and only partial use of my arms..for example, i cannot roll a manual wheelchair...the last stroke also resulted in a complete blockage of the Basiliar artery...that's the biggie...the main artery located in the back of your head that supplies blood to the brain,,the juglars are the other two suppliers, the basiliar is the largest and most important...
here is what is happening...i have recently re-discovered two of the knives we found...one is ...this....

this was my folding carry knife for many years..
i need to find some trustworthy person who will take the balisong and the gerber, clean them up and sharpen them for me for a reasonable fee...i'm 100% dis-abled vet, and am on a very fixed income...so i guess you'd say i need the work done on the cheap...i don't have the tools to "fix" them myself and couldn't use my arms well enough even if if i did have the tools...
i hate to ask for help... but these knives have served me well over the years and i can't stand seeing them as crippled and messed up as i am...
any and all guidance will be appreciated...
thank you all for taking the time to read this
May God Bless
