I received a ProjectI today, new in box with papers from a knife dealer. This PROJECT I have NO serrations on the blade...Is that normal??? anybody know about it???

Oli, I just got my first one yesterday and I'm pretty impressed. So impressed I may have to start working twards another one. Is it possible you got a hold of a Shadow II? I was under the impression that it was the same as the Project but with out the serrations.
If you don't mind, where did you get yours from? I'd like to see if they have any pics. Heck I wanna see If they have anymore w/o serrations!

I have a Project 1 without serrations as well. Mine was made in May 2000, and I bought it from a dealer in early '02. Awesome knife!
Too bad about the collector, you can always just order them directly from CRK without serrations

Naturalslave, are you saying that people from Chris reeve is lying to me? When I got a Mail from Chris Reeve saying it's a special Run with about 25 of them made I tend to believe in them, sorry...

Your Project is "special" in that there are very few made without serrations (or maybe for some other reason of which I am not aware). From CRK website FAQ:
"By request, we can make either the Project I or II without serrations."
I was making a joke about the collector, as you said that "I shot a collector!" I was just trying to say that you don't need to shoot people to get them without serrations. But I realise that you may have simply meant that you "got" a collector. Sorry for the confusion, and congratulations on the knife.

it's just that yesterday when I first opened the package I said with my best Homer Simpson voice "DOH!"
And tough, "I'm soooooo unlucky..."
But then I got the mail from Bridgett saying it was not comon so I tough "collector" $$$$$ !!!
But actualy you're right...She said they made about 25 of them on request to people wanting them without serrations, AND she said they will probably make some more of them if people request them... hmmm... But I will probably trade this one to get one with serrations...
