Hi,

I'm looking for a knife to carry and I have a few specs.

I need the knife to be an assisted opener, and have a button for the index finger to open,
Something like this:

(The little thing on the side)

I also need the knife to be very small, no more then 2 inch blade length.

Something small and light for easy carry and something that won't look crazy to carry.

If anybody has any suggestions it would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

If you want a button operated assisted opener, you want an automatic. I couldn't really tell what you mean from the picture but you may be thinking of a flipper. If so, check out Kershaw's offerings.

Kershaw ember for a blade that won't break, chive for a delicate blade that has a fine tip for detail work.

My wife has an ember she keeps clipped in her purse and she loves it. Very small and unobtrusive.

Well, the most awesome low price assisted opener at this point is the Kershaw Link. The assist is the only thing I hate about it, as it is more of a hassle to close a knife that's constantly trying to open back up. The Link is amazingly comfortable to hold and easy to sharpen.

That's useful to know. I like the chive because it's very nice and small, easy to carry and good looking.

But if it's not as strong as the ember, I'll take a better look at the ember :).

Thanks.
