I've been researching watches lately and know some of the features I'm looking for, I just don't know brands well, what to look for and what to stay away from, hopefully some of you watch guys can help me out, I really like several of the Citizen Eco-drives, but none are made with Sapphire crystal, so what I want is:

- Solar Powered
- Sapphire Crystal
- Max is $275ish
- Analog
- A little more dressy (I plan on getting a G-shock for workingout/camping/hiking etc)

Here's the Citizen watches I really like the looks of:

Citizen make a good watch, I have an "Ecozilla", which is a stupid simple ecodrive movement (date and time only) packed into an huge overbuilt titanium case, with massive glowing hands that are very easy to read (I believe the mineral glass lens is 6mm thick, all up it's 18mm so its a really big beefy watch)
Mines keeping great time, gaining less than 5 seconds a month (checked against a GPS)

I reckon you should just find an Ecodrive you like the looks of, in your price range, and be happy, I don't have any real reccomendations as to which model you should pick, they all should be pretty good.
I really like the look of the first one you posted, but would prefer it on a black NATO strap

Here's mine, a good pick, but the TI is discontinued, out of your preffered price range, and hard to find, and the Stainless one is pretty heavy. It's pretty basic, but very easy to read, and the Lume is bright too

I do really like the Citizen watches, it was just a thread I was reading about sapphire crystal vs mineral crystal that made me think otherwise, have you gotten many scratches on the face? and how long have you had it/often do you wear it?

Citizen makes good quality watches and the Eco Drive series is excellent. My Citizen Eco Drive is this BN0000-04H model. Great watch, very tough and versatile. I put it on its original rubber band when I wear it on canoe trips or on a nato strap during hiking.

When put on a black leather band it can easily be worn at the office, IMO.

I have had it 6 months, i wear it every day and i have no scratches yet
The bezel does sit maybe 1.5mm proud of the glass, so it protects against most scratches
My old Traser had a mineral glass lens, no protective bezel and was worn daily for 9 years - it has a few minor scratches, nothing that affects readability, waterproofness or glass strength

I have the Eco-zilla in stainless. It is big and heavy enough to use as a weapon.

Part of the reason i got the Ti one (im also a titanium junkie)
Its even heavier on a bracelet too

I believe the SS is still in production
