Ok folks---call my wife REALLY prepared, but she is Christmas shopping (stocking stuffers) already for me. I need some help from my fellow gadgeteers on creating an appropriate list of small and less costly great gadgets! Yes, I know that both "small" and "less costly" are relative terms, but I am thinking EDC type stuff or at least "don't forget to throw it in the car before you leave" type stuff. Price wise...less than $25...we'll start there.

Let me tell you what I have and carry:
Small Classic Sebbie
Sure Fire E1
Sure Fire E2 HA
Leatherman Wave
Leatherman Micra
Buck Mini Tool
Photon II
Spy Capsule
Fisher Space Pen (extending bullet)
Benchmade 101 River Rescue
Kahr K9 Elite 98
Spare mag
Luminox watch
Compaq PDA

I like the Innova LED light and I like the glow ring idea. I also need a good lighter. I don't smoke, so it will be used rarely. I don't want an expensive one, but one that is maybe alittle nicer than the 15 bics that I have. (Is there a NICE bic out there that I have heard about?)

I also like the ASP key defender. I wouldn't mind a Kubaton (fiber maybe for concealment sake) and I also like a few various SMALL neck knives (ie. Emerson LaGriffe, BM 160 Tether knife and the MT Medallion.) Any other suggestions?

What about knife care? I have the Spyderco 204 Sharpmaker and LOVE it. Any great suggestions for lube and polish? I use one of each now, but cannot remember the names? What about gun accessories? I need a good E2 and clip holster to CCW. I might ask Normark to make one of those for me...I'll have to think.

Well...that ought to get you giys started. I am sure that I will of something else (or 2 or 3 or 4) to add as far as thoughts, but please help advise me. What would YOU ask for (wihtin these limits) first and WHY?

Thanks- as always I will learn alot and spend even more! ;)

I think a nice handmade leather sheath for your small Sebenza would be ideal. I would at those made by forum members Gary Graley (G2) or Dave Abramson (lifter4him). Both make some really high quality leather products.

Here are a few thoughts:

Krill light, for low-level illumination and signaling: www.kriana.com

OtterBox, for storing your stuff: www.otterbox.com

Fiskar's Quick-Release Multi-Shears, always useful: Home Depot or www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...46/sr=1-8/ref=sr_1_8/104-1191894-2909511?s=hi

MegaPro screwdriver, learned about this from a forumite on another thread: www.agrussell.com/gifts/mt-151.html

First aid items, personal water filter, safety whistle? Not sure what your activities and interests are...

The Inova X5T is a great little light. So is the Arc AAA.
Other things to consider are:
Benchmade Rescue Hook
Spyderco SpyderCard
credit card diamond hone, EZE-Lap or DMT
Swedish Fire Steel or other spark based firestarter
A good compass, the Silva type 27 is the size of a Zippo lighter
Zeiss 5 X 10 Mini Quick monocular, well worth the money
G.I. P-38 can openers are always handy
Para cord

The neck knives you mentioned are the same three I'm trying to decide between.

In your price range:

1) Infinity Ultra - $25 retail
2) ARC AAA - ~$25 if you shop around
3) Streamlight Batonlight - $20 if you shop around
4) Victorinox Spartan - ~$20 more or less depend on the store sales
