Ok first off im sorry but I know literally nothing about backpacks the one I currently have im not even sure when I got it. Pretty sure it came from bass pro its a Lowe Alpine walkabout 50. Its a nice pack but its larger than I would like. It also has no molle attachments on it which is kidda a bummer. I would also like something with a built in water storage on it. I have no idea how much a good pack is going to cost me, but im hoping I can find one for around 50 bucks if not then so be it but thats kidda my target for now.

It sounds like what you want is a CamelBak Military model of some sort. Browse their website and choose which one you think you'd like then visit a local vendor. If that's not possible, the next best thing is to order one off the Internet. You can't go wrong with CamelBak, I have a HOG NV that carries two 3L bladders for extended hikes but also can carry one 3L bladder for shorter day hikes. With two bladders, space is limited. With one bladder, I have room left to pack other goodies.

The Lowe Alpine series are really good packs! I'm guessing that it's capacity is 50 Liters which is about 3125 cubic inches. It's intended as a multi night light weight pack.

You mentioned that the pack is larger then you would like. What is your intended use? Knowing that will help us narrow some packs down for you. Right now we know that you want less then 50 Liters capacity and Molle Webbing, but thats it.

If you are looking for Military style packs check out Kelty's Military packs, Blackhawk, Camelbak, and others. Also consider the SDS Assault Pack Large MOLLE II. You can find surplus ones online from $40 to $60 and new for around $100. Capacity is just over 1700 cubic inches and it has molle webbing for adding more pouches.

Good luck with your search! :)

What's your budget? There are standout backpacks at all price ranges.

For 50 bucks, a Condor Assault Bag would do. It's not made in USA though, if you're into that sort of thing.

Well its good to know the current pack I have is a good one. Im really unsure of the size I want right now. I want one for a single night trip would be about as good as I can narrow that down. Price range id like to stay at is about 50 bucks if possible. Deffently want the molle webbing on it and im currently on a made in the USA kick so that is a huge plus.

An over night pack, USA Made around $50, I'd be looking at a Military Surplus pack.
