Ok so there is a Brute, Camillus Machax, and a camillus Bk10 on eprey. All are going for 2 bills apiece and I really want any of the three, so what would be a better buy? If this post is not allowed please take it down. Thanks for any suggestions.
 
Bk10 is never comin back.
Machax is back any day. Literally. Actually 2 weeks late right now
Brute may be back in very near future.

I would skip all and see if anyone is selling a kabar bk10 that just sold out a few days ago.
 
That there is a blackjack brute and a cincin machax and if the IRS wasn't up my rear end this year I would already have. Cam BK-10 are not that uncommon. If you want a LE10 well I have been quietly hoarding, oh well I think I am in the teens last time I counted. :eek: hehe
 
While I like SoldMyHat's idea of holding out for a Ka-bar BK10, I suspect it may be asking more than two Ben Franklins when you find it. I'd go the Camillus BK10.
 
Wait for the Machax. About $80. That leaves $120. Get yourself a nice set of grips and a Skystorm sheath for it. I'd do that anyday over some older stuff that is collectible, but not as good as Kabar is making them.

(I have no idea what his sheaths cost, but still....)
 
I would say go with the bk10,,, the other two will both be available in the future, whereas the bk10 will not be!

the Cammy Machax is nothing to write home about

ETA: the last generation Cincinnati with the grey epoxy coat? an abomination. thick, bad grands. even worse than Cammy - i suspect they based their model on this. that bad.

i do see something else that is also used and well love, the price might be right if there's no biddy war, rare. still, once *I* pay over $100 for something like that, it must be at least undamaged, leading to pristine, imho...

the BK10 is better.

a patrol machete is betterer

i'd wait a weekish for the new Machax :>

So the machax is two weeks late ready. Now another week? Last time someone told me they were three weeks late we had a baby. Please dont tell me my wife is pregnant again!! :D

Oh and any new intel on when or where laser etched bk9's are for sale. My money is ready this friday to purchase one...........
 
Unless you are collecting and do not plan on using them I would follow the advise of what Bladite and others have said and wait for the Machax. Also, have you considered the BK12/Ritter MK2 Perseverance? Some do not like the blade design but I think it is a well thought out design. In my opinion it can do anything the BK10 can. I believe the price is around $165. But, if you must have a BK10 I would also wait for a Kabar version. It is much nicer than the Camillus. Just my 2 cents.
