Need some help with Carlton Evans knife

Top photo is for reference and the knife I have is Chucks he bought from Mr. Evans he wrote about in above attached article. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I have been making sheaths for Carlton since at least the time that knife was made (a very long time). Carlton did, in fact retire from the Space Industry and moved to where he has more "space". He can now be found making his knives in Ft. Davis, Tx. (817 223 8556. cell).

Carlton suffered a stroke a couple of years ago, now, but his recovery is such that he still makes one on the finest custom knives anyone could ever imagine, albeit a little slower maybe.

I don't know what specific information you are seeking, but I'll be happy to expand if I haven't provided enough.

Hey, just joined today after lurking for a while. I hope I'm not breaking any rules as I haven't purchased any subscription yet.
Anyway, just saw your article screenshot, and I thought something looked familiar!


I have that giraffe bone knife exactly the one in that article (#53). Well, I just ordered it anyway off a guy selling it 2nd hand. It comes in a couple days, so I will post a pic if that's all right. ^^


Also, that knife of yours is beautiful. Is it mammoth?
