Need Some Help With Resilience Pocket Clip Screw Size...

I CNC'd some Micarta scales for a Resilience and increased the thickness from the OEM nominal .105" thick slabs to .189" thick slabs. Now I need some longer pocket clip screws. I thought the pocket clip screws were the same #2-56 as most every other Spyderco knife I've modified... BUT NO...! They are NOT!!! None of my thread combs I have on hand match but I did mic the outer thread diameter and it was .112". All the conversion charts say this should be a #4-40 screw... but I don't happen to have any #4-40's on hand to thread into the tapped liners to check.

Are there ANY gurus in the Forum that can tell me definitively that the Resilience pocket clip screw is indeed a #4-40. I can get the length of button head Torx screw I need from Knife Kits... just would like to order with confidence...!

Thanks in advance...

When I re scaled my Tenacious a few years ago, I checked the screw size. They were metric. So you may have metric screws. I think what you have are M3 x 0.5 screws. The 0.112" diameter is close to the minimum diameter for the M3 x 0.5 screw according to the Machinery's Handbook.

I'll check to see if I have any M3 x 0.5s around.

I only have two M3 x 0.5 button heads (3/8" length) in my stash. I'll try to stop by a local place that has some metrics on my way home. They are a surplus store and they don't make you buy 100's of them at a time. I've gotten 2-56 and 1-72 there for a few cents a piece.

Ric...

It makes perfect sense as the Resilience is the CHINESE big brother to the Tenacious. Just visually comparing the pocket clips and hardware to photos... they are identical!

Thank you for taking the time to help out...! Greatly appreciated!
