Hello, I am a new owner of a Sebenza 25 (Thanks BF!) Anyway I've decided that I want the knife "nuked" by someone. I've seen the youtube videos of solo knife reviews and liked how he did it. So I shot him an email asking if he could do it for me and how long it typically takes. That was awhile ago and still no email. I guess I need help with either getting in touch with him or someone else who does the same service. I would greatly appreciate it!

Well it's hard to explain. You might be better off you tubing Nuked Sebenza. Basically you anodize the titanium scales to a dark bronze color then stonewash to give it the "aged" effect. Looks worn-out basically. Very cool I suggest looking it up on youtube. Words do not give it justice.

He just put something up on IG, aparrantly he's been working long hours and is getting caught up on emails and messages.

I have not seen many knives in here with said treatments. Maybe you go look on the sub forums for a spot where service providers hang out. Someone there might do it. It's not particularly difficult so I'm sure you can find someone to do it who would be happy to work on a 25.

While it is a nice looking treatment, I would just put the knife in my pocket and let it age naturally-save your money & your warranty. All the character marks then are mine along with the memories.

I'm rather partial as I prefer used CRK's, used Ti scales, etc...

FWIW, CRK's warranty is one of the most important parts of a CRK to me. Without their warranty, I would have 500+ dollar knives with no recourse but to pay out more money if I had future problems with them. Not acceptable to me to void that.

I love the look of properly used/naturally aged CRK's because they age well, taking on their own sort of patina or unique look. Quite beautiful to me. I see the nuked look, weathered look, or any sort of accelerated/modified aging as a rather disingenuous character put upon it.

That look can be really neat, for sure; just that it's not worth voiding a warranty over for me.
