Need some help

Couple of years ago I gave my mom’s husband a Chaparral carbon fiber. Beautiful. Exemplary fit and finish. Told him it was a dress knife, not a work knife.
I guess his work knife must have gotten dull and instead of sharpening the old Gerber he decided to use his Chaparral at work. Snapped the blade in half.
He feels sick about. Almost started crying when he showed it to me. I think he understands why I told him it was a dress knife, not a work knife.
Anyways, I’m looking to surprise him with another one and can’t find one anywhere.
If anyone knows where I can find another one I would be truly grateful. I’m having no luck in my search as the CF version seems to be discontinued.
He takes good care of my now 90yr old mother, and I want to do this for him.

Why wouldn't he want to replace it with something a little more durable? I looked at the blade and it's very good looking. It just seems like a whole lotta beans for something fragile ... unless he was using it as a pry bar.;)

Hopefully he’ll use it as intended, a dress knife.
That thin of a blade and that hard of a steel, combined with a big hole in the blade. It snapped right across the Spydie hole. It wouldn’t take much lateral pressure to break it.
He doesn’t know I’m doing this.
 
An option not mentioned.. Return the broke one to Spyderco. They will either warranty or offer a discount for the broken one or Return it.
