Im heat treating the last Camp knife now and need some help on the handle. I only have two liners big enough to fit that brute. Which wood with which liner would you like to see?
The top wood is Mirindiba, Left is Cocobolo, and the right is my white oak. The liners are blue and brown. I really want to use the Cocobolo with blue liner but Im not sure.....HELP!

Chris, you know me & redheads, uh, sorry, slip up . . . . have to go with that Cocobolo and all that steel . . . . .
Be safe.
p.s.: Vote #2 from Ohio also goes for Cocobolo . . . . :)

Which liner Bill and Sally?

BTW, the wife likes the cocobolo and blue ;)

Im not really sure what the scales will look like when I shape and sand. The wood obviously has two tone and I don't know where it starts. I kinda like the sapwood in there though.

Concensus from Ohio says blue liners & Cocobolo would make the time on the sales forum last less than 10 minutes . . . . :D
Be safe.

Chris, wood is wood, & the more natural characteristics it has in its looks, the better it looks. Use your own judgment, you have done very well so far over the last 2 years with your choices (just my humble opinion) . . .
Be safe.

I'll go against the grain here and say cocobolo and brown or just the cocobolo w/o the liner. Don't do either though...I'm trying to be good!!!!

I do have some black pinstripe....hmmmmm

Is the cocobolo thick enough for just the wood and a black pinstripe? Maybe double up the pinstripe? That would be my vote.
