My son wants to get an LCD TV. If he wanted to expand his knife/gun collection I could help him, but I'm pretty much at a loss here. Price range is 2K give or take a couple of hundred if it makes a real difference. Any suggestions, advice, experiences, or warnings? I told him that 2000 dollars could buy a lot of regrets if he wasn't up to speed and that you guys could help us out. Right now he is leaning towards the Sharp Aquos line based on some casual observation. Whattya think?

Thanks for the reply, Pete. He wound up getting a 32" Sharp Aquos. A buddy got him a great deal or he wouldn't have been able to go that big. The picture in high-def is outstanding and it is thin enough to hang on the wall. Pretty cool technology.
