I found this one today at a antiques store and was wondering why the heafty price tag? Anyone have any info on it? Worth the money? I figure I could get it a little cheaper probably but 130 seems like a lot. Thanks in advance

Looks like a newer knife to me, I don't recognize those scales
Maybe one of the laser/machine scrimshaw deals like a Johnny Cash commemorative?

Going just by the picture above, I took a google-stab at it: Case bathing beauty knife.

The pattern looks to be HA199 1/2...?

But I've seen nothing (so far) to denote collector interest/price.

Perhaps more of Parker's "work"?

Maybe someone else can take this further....

Ed.: here's a thread from right here at Bladeforums, suggesting these are 1979 repros worth about $50-- iffn someone wants to pay that much. ;)

I don't think he bought it, just assumed we weren't going to get a closeup of the tang
That would take all the mystery out of it !

I've been looking for one of those for a while, they're a little hard to find.
If you can get it for less and want a cool piece for your collection, I'd go for it.

I didn't buy it and the guy who owned the booth wasn't there at the time. When I go back I will get the tang stamp even though everything he had was a little pricey

Sorry about the repost! Couldn't locate the previous one. BF was acting funny and not letting me find the previous thread. Oops lol

Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide Vol. 9, Parker,Henly Foster, Lists this at $125 in Mint Condition. Model 1979 HA199 1/2.
