first off I had no idea where to put this, so mods please move this as you see fit.
I need some work done on 2 knives.
I stripped them and tried to sand them to a satin finish but i got sloppy and screwed it all up.
so im looking to pay somone to put a 600 or so grit finish on them.
they are a swamp rat HRLM and scrapyard SOD
right now they have 400 grit scratches on them, If you can do this (and make it look good) email me at andrewparks95 @ gmail .com with your price and other info
thanks,
-Andrew Parks

bead blasting + carbon steels = tons o' rust
sorry but im looking for somone who can satin finish or stonewash
thanks though

Just have patience and do it yourself.

All you need is the 600 gritt paper, a few drops of oil, one paint stirring stick to wrap the paper around, one solid clamp (or vice) and a table or so to clamp it to.

Take a radio, make a pot of coffee and do it yourself.
It will be faster and cheaper then letting somebody else do it.

Sand from ricasso to the tip. When you get to the finishing stage only go from the ricasso to the tip, lift the paper, replace at the ricasso and move to the tip.
And use the paper as if it where free, no point using dull sandpaper.

Check out the pics of my Camillus on his post. Amazing results.

If you can't find my pics, email me and I'll send you them. You'll be impressed.

Trust me on this one my friend.

(PS, throw him a little something extra if you can, because he deserves it for all he does for all of us! Sorry dlsteck, as I know you don't ask for anything, but you definitely deserve much more!!!!!!)
