Im trying to decide which team gemini to get between the TGLB or TG (m) from somw members that either have on or rhe other. This will be my first busse I have a few kin. I will be using it for multi day backpacking trips. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Im gonna venture to say that you will not get many valid opinions on the mini yet as there are not many out there since bladeshow was the only time they have been released. That being said, go BIG or go home :D Welcome to the madness.

I agree with Deric on this. I have the TGLB and a Mini in house for a sheath and I much prefer the utility of the larger knife.

Its in the same basic size range as my most used Busse, the Steel Heart E.

I have both, I use the m more around the house. I take the full size out to the field.

I recommend one of each!

Go big or go home lol I am with Eric on that. I love the TGLB. have not chopped anything with the Maddie yet.

It's not all about the chopping! Even though I'm sure using decent technique it would chop adequately for shelter building and plenty of fuel to burn.
I need to Use the -M some to get a better feel for her but I loved the balance and feel at blade '12 and it still feels perfect.image.jpg

That pair is very similar to my SHe BAe combo, and exactly my philosophy when it comes to knives. One mid to large size knife paired with a smaller dedicated slicer. :) I've paired my TGLB with an Active Duty for the same reasons.

The TGLB isn't that big of a knife. I would consider it just barely creeping into the chopper category.

The TGLB is one of the best general purpose knives available, the TGM is (IMHO) a nice knife with much less general utility. It's too short for a good chopper or a good fighter. It does on the other hand make a very nice multi-task camp knife for food prep, fire prep, and other small tasks
