 I have about 130 dollars to spend. I would like to buy some high quality, durable, maybe tactical folder or medium fixed blade for EDC. Thats what i found so far:
- Benchmade 635, 520, 145
- Spyderco Para Military
- Emerson if i find some in my price range

I read about problems with opening 635, i mean that hole with plain corners, what do you think about it?
But maybe you can recommend different knife for me? Anyway thanks all for your time and help! ;)

I really like my my BM Presidio. The handle grip is fantastic and the blade is extremely versatile. Most places I see online have it listed for $120 - $130

My only mistake was buying the Auto model, so I had to spring for a new pair of pants when I forgot to lock the safety.

If you can go 4-inch, I'd recommend the BM710. Classic design that is a good all around user.

But it would be nice to know what your uses are going to be and what you feel comfortable carrying (or can legally carry).

But, in the end, you should try to find a a store to get some in hand time BRFORE buying (Don't buy the day you first handle them).

The Para Military IS an excellent knife. I would also suggest the Mini-Manix as well. And the Adventura too.

Thanks! There are absolutaly NO restrictions in country where i live now - Czech rep. So i can carry everything.

For that price range, Military or Para-Military depending on your size preference. When I first handled a Military, I passed because I thought it was too big. I got a second chance to handle one from a friend of mine, and changed my mind. Now it's one of my favorite knives.

How about a Ritter Grip? I love my Manix and Military, but they are too big for comfortable EDC carry. The Ritter Grip has S30V steel just like the Military and Manix. Good blade shape, AXIS lock takes a little bit getting used to trusting it. If you want a good worker, the Manix is king in heavy duty folders for me. Either company will take care of you if you send it in.

First thing I thought of when I saw your screen name is the Swamp Rat Rat Trap.

S30V Drop Point blade with opening hole, textured G10 Scales, Fully embedded liners.

Not exactly a "production knife" meaning you can only order it from Swamp Rat direct (www.swamprat.com), and there is a wait 8-12 week wait.

Um, I should state that I don't own one...but the Rat lovers sure seem to like them. Again, I thought of it when I saw your screen name.
