My wife Harriet is back in the hospital (2nd time in a week and a half) with refractory hypercalcemia due to her breast cancer, and the oncologist is "very worried" about her. On Wednesday he told us we could expect perhaps 6 months to 2 years, depending on how she reacts to the latest cancer treatment, but this is definitely a setback.
In three weeks we'll be married 41 years, and until yesterday I never even considered that making that point was in doubt.
But we're taking this a day at a time, as best we can. We've got good doctors and loads of friends and community support, and there's not much more we can do except hope and pray and keep on moving.
Please keep me and Harriet in your thoughts and prayers.
