need some suggestions, changing up my EDC style

Well after having a particularly bad experience with law enforcement and the size of my knife i have decided that i want to change up my EDC style. I was to stay at the no larger then 8 inch Over all length and right at a 3 inch blade. I would like a knife that maximizes the amount of handle that you have to hold onto. I would like a flipper but that isnt a make it or break it kind of thing. Im looking to stay under 100$, Of course cheaper is better but im comfortable with spending 100 if i need too. Im thinking about getting rid of my used bradly kiumra, maybe even finding someone on the forums who would be willing to trade. IDK how to go about that though
 
All you have to do to trade is post a thread in the Trading Section of the Exchange. Post some pics and describe the knife as it sits and also state what you're interested in and you should be good to go.

Ahh alright ill try, thanks. Its not the best because it has been carried but the handles are still nice and tight its still smooth and flips great, just has some scratches and what not. Ill post about it later when im done what i got to do for the day and we will see where it goes :). Thanks man i appreciate it.
 
Emerson makes a number of very nice knives with full sized handles but 3" blades like the Mini CQC-7, Mini A-100, etc.

Spyderco Delica is a very nice 3" knife as well.
 
Emerson also makes a MicroCommander which I just bought for a relative. About $180, though.
 
I vote kershaw leek if I read your req's right. I too had a run in with some prick leo's not long ago. Where we are, there is no limit on folders, but it's up to the officer's opinion on if it's a weapon or not= if it's deemed a weapon, then you get charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. Anyway, the leek is solid, and it's at 3in...I can attest that it is an awesome edc. The only issue you would get into is the speedsafe assisted opening; I don't know if that's a factor in your area of interest.

Step one is to read the rules, don't just say, "yea, yea". Second, do some of your own actual reseaerch, rather than asking everyone here to do it for you (as has happened in the past with you). Not trying to be mean, but you should be familiar with this by now.

I like the Native but I have issues getting it to open smoothly, the hole seems a bit small for me. Also the placement of hole in relation to closed position seems unnatural for me.

Forgot how good the deal I got on my Native 5 was :D

Sage 1 is a bit closer to $100 :thumbup:
 
I am curious to hear about this encounter. Pm me if you don't mind. I'm only wondering if there was a point at which you gave up some rights which you didn't need to do. Just wondering if a better understanding of the 4th and 5th amendments would have helped. No disrespect is meant. Also, it would help me to know which state this was in.
